HATTON FIGHTING LIKE A BLACK YANK!
Las Vegas, NV- When you try and analyze fighters from different ethnic groups, as well as regions, “race” means a lot. That being fact, World 140 lb. king Ricky Hatton, when he turned professional, the “Hitman” was your typical English brawler. That being said, the addition of Floyd Mayweather Sr. as Hatton’s trainer has instilled some blackness in his boxing style.
RICKY NO LONGER A “CRUDE” WHITE BOY
Relying on brute strength, Hatton, exceptionally big for a jr. welterweight, prior to Mayweather Sr., he simply bored into opposition like a goring bull. His shortcomings were illustrated in both the controversial win over Luis Collazo, and in his lone loss against his trainer’s son Floyd Jr.
WHITE FOLKS UPSET ALREADY!
Now for a lot of you that lack boxing acumen, you’re already calling me racist! But if you had spent a little bit of time in a racially mixed, preferably inner city, boxing gym, you’d realize I’m just keeping it real!
MAYWEATHER SR. BRING LOTS TO DANCE
The elder Mayweather, a fair fighter in his day, he can teach a fighter slick footwork, how to throw combinations, a better stance, and with all that and Floyd comes attitude! All this does not bode well for Manny Pacquiao. The Pacman, no longer fighting at an optimum weight at 130-135 lbs, this bout at 140 could spell doom for the Filipino phenomenon.
NO BLACK FACE MAKE UP NEEDED!
Especially when you look at Hatton in the gym. If Ricky wasn’t as white as snow, you’d be under the impression that he has been transformed into a slick fighter of African ilk. Not only has Mayweather taught Hatton how to fight black, Ricky now carries himself in a much, more confident manner than in the past.
DO YOU LIKE BETTING THE UNDERDOG?
In closing, if Hatton can fight both black and stay in that mode, then it will be extremely hard for Manny Pacquiao to do anything other than swinging for the fences, something that will leave him open to hard-hitting retaliation from Britain’s Hitman. Right now, Hatton looks like a good bet at +$225!
